Sellswords

Hell has come to earth, and it is called the Union Wars. 

It has simmered and flared for the better part of a century.

Sellswords are the ones with the numbers to hold the field, and the skills to win the day, but make no mistake in this matter: a Sellsword earns their daily bread from the suffering of others, and cannot be trusted to do what is right so long as money raises a glossy finger to the contrary.

What does endless war do to a person? What are you, beneath your repulsive profession? What do you want for yourself, and for the world, even when all you do is destroy?

Sellswords is a tabletop roleplaying game about the sorrows of war and those who sow them, containing, among other things:

• Two diceless resolution systems, one where players bargain with Lady Fortune to bring about the outcomes they desire, and another where multiple parties attempt to bribe one another to concede to demands in tense exchanges.

• A system for creating Sellswords with complex relationships, roles and paths to walk, either to change or to ruin.

• The tools to create a Sellsword Company with a sordid history, and for creating fraught, miserable opportunities on which Sellswords can ply their trade.

• Advice to assist Lady Fortune in running complex comrades, allies and rivals for the Sellswords to contend with.
